The nice summer weather combined with much to do around the house and other RL obligations, I’ve been a bit absent as of late on Second Life, but due to a recent trip to the Museum of Robots, I’ve been hammering away at my version of Robby, the Robot of ‘Forbidden Planet’ fame. He’s about 80-90 percent complete, just a few odds and ends and some texturing and he’s about done. He’ll make quite a showpiece (albeit primmy), but ultimately the plan is to make him a wearable avatar, complete with sound effects. I’ll get some pics posted here sometime, but, if you cannot wait and would like to take a look, use the SLURL on the right side of this page and when you get to my shop, go out the door, turn right, and go to the left side of the building and take the elevator up to my platform and go take a look, (or just fly up about 700 meters above the store), to take a peek at him in his current state in glorious 3D. 🙂 Also, if you’re interested in fictional robots, search ‘Museum of Robots’ in the client search box and head over to a great spot that has many robots on display along with some great interesting info on each one on display.
